Upcoming Events Women's Wine, Cheese & Chat: Friday, March 12, 6:30 p.m. in the Church House. “Great is the Lord and mighty is the power of God.” Psalms 147:5 Scripture and other sacred text speak of the “power of God” and the “power” that resides in all living things. During this month’s gathering, we will be exploring the physical, spiritual, and cosmic origin of that “power” by asking the question, “Where does the power come from?” We will be discussing the concept of internal or external energy as well as introducing theologies and mind sets from both Christian scripture and other sacred text. The
Wine, Cheese & Chat gathering is an open discussion group for
women. Each
month a theme is introduced for the group to explore. All thoughts,
comments, and ideas are listened to and treated with respect. Women
enjoy an atmosphere of love and support while they share their views and
experiences on the evening’s topic. Miller Hall UpdateYes,
it is finally underway! Thanks to Wayne Matthews, our contractor, we are
starting work on adding 2 bathrooms to Miller Hall! The project should be
completed within 3-4 months (let’s hope Mother Nature cooperates!). Many
members generously donated money to this project a few years ago.
This money is what is helping us get the project started and accounts for
about 50% of the cost. Any additional donations would be greatly
appreciated! This project has been a long time coming, but it will certainly be a great addition to Miller Hall! Seaside's Garage Sale: Saturday, April 17 on the church lawn.Start
your spring cleaning early and donate items you no longer use to the Seaside
Garage Sale.
Beginning the
2nd week of March, you may store your donated items in the church house
garage. We
also need volunteers to help sort and price items. Please
contact the Church Office if you are available to help or have any
questions. |
